If you’re looking for a low-key place that’s a favorite of many locals, consider Stuft Pizza in Old Town La Quinta. The wood-fired pizza oven sets the tone for serious pizza lovers of both thin and thick crust pizza, calzones and more. While my husband Bill goes for the pizza every time, both the summer salad and tuna tower are great choices for those preferring the opposite side of the menu.
From prime steaks to seafood, delicious salads to appetizers and, of course, their famous burgers and rings, Stuft Pizza’s extensive menu offers something for everyone. Families generally gravitate to the dining room, while locals and visitors generally congregate around the high-top community tables in the bar area or dine on one of the two patios (smoking and non-smoking).
Stuft Pizza has a full service bar, a variety of draft and micro brews and a good wine list. Large screen TV’s are located throughout the bar and dining room so sports fans won’t miss a thing. It’s hard to go wrong at this popular local hang out. Good pizza and a variety of salads, pastas and more, all at moderate prices. Happy hour is packed with locals on their way home. Patio dining too.
